Denim is a thicker yarn-dyed twill cotton fabric with dark warp yarn, generally indigo blue, and light weft yarn, generally light gray or boiled white yarn, also known as indigo labor cloth. The organizational structure is generally twill (2/1, 3/1, 1/3), broken twill, and the radial tightness is greater than the weft direction.

The color of denim has developed from vulcanized and indigo to light blue, black, white, color, etc.

There are many subsequent finishing processes for denim, which is an important part of denim series varieties. The main ones are: enzymes, stone grinding, sandblasting, cat whiskers, silicone oil, bleaching, color registration, and snowflake washing.

Knitted denim is a kind of denim. The denim made by knitting method has better elasticity than woven. Knitted denim adopts the knitting method of knitted weft knitting, and adopts bundle-dyed indigo, blue plus black, sulfide black and other knitted bobbin yarns. The special process is implemented on the large circular machine to produce clothing fabrics with washing and fading effect. Its varieties mainly include small fish scale terry, large fish scale terry, thick and fine twill terry, convex twill terry, plain weave sweat and so on.
